    Burnley Squawka Score ratings 2025-26

The 2025-26 season is over, and Burnley have been relegated back to the Championship. We’ve taken a look at the Clarets’ most-used XI from the Premier League campaign below and how the players have performed according to the Squawka Score rating system.

The Squawka Score is a metric developed to assess a player’s performance related to other players in the same position. It’s a percentage rating from 0 to 100, calculated based on various per-90-minute statistics, including the obvious stats such as goals and assists, but also some more obscure ones that are more position-specific.

GK: Martin Dubravka – 60% – Dubravka was among the best goalkeepers in the Premier League this season. He was a very busy man, sitting in the 80-95th percentile among his peers for saves per 90 minutes and saves from shots inside the box. Ultimately, an awful season could have been that much worse without Dubravka.

RB: Kyle Walker – 56% – Walker did rank well for clearances and interceptions per 90 among full-backs. However, Burnley being under pressure in every single game hamstrung his creative ability.

CB: Maxime Esteve – 53% – Esteve ranked in the 80-95th percentile among centre-backs in the Premier League for aerial duel success rate and clearances. But the defender was let down by his passing and general reliability on the ball. That, perhaps, wouldn’t be a problem in a more competitive side.

CB: Axel Tuanzebe – 53% – Burnley struggled to find a regular partner for Esteve. Despite Afcon commitments and an ACL injury, Tuanzebe came closest, but that disruption led to poor possession numbers, while 0.37 challenges lost and 6.21 clearances per 90 were his only real standout metrics.

LB: Quilindschy Hartman – 57% – Hartman started the season brilliantly, registering four assists in his first nine appearances. However, the Netherlands international was then hampered by injury and managed just one more assist, though he did win 60.61% of his ground duels.

RCM: Josh Cullen – 68% – Cullen was among the best central midfielders in the Premier League this season, which may be a surprise. He ranked well for intentional assists, final third entries and through balls completed per 90. He tore his cruciate ligament in late December, which utterly derailed Burnley’s survival hopes.

LCM: Florentino – 45% – Florentino ranked really well for tackles won per 90, sitting in the 80-95th percentile. He also ranked well for interceptions. But the Portuguese midfielder also lost a lot of challenges, and his passing left a lot to be desired.

AM: Hannibal Mejbri – 53% – Hannibal had his moments, and four assists ranked him second only to Hartman among Burnley players. However, the Tunisian only scored once, while he was in the 40-60th percentile for take-ons completed.

RW: Loum Tchaouna – 37% – Tchaouna is among the lowest-ranked attackers in the Premier League, scoring low for many attacking metrics.

ST: Zian Flemming – 48% – Only Donyell Malen (18) scored more goals than Flemming (11) among Dutchmen in Europe’s top five leagues in 2025/26. That’s a remarkable achievement in a relegated side, and surely enough to put him in the shop window for this summer. Flemming’s hold-up play also stood up well, ranking in the top 20% of his peers for dispossessions.

RW: Jaidon Anthony – 52% – Anthony enjoyed a great start to the season, notching four goals and an assist in his first six appearances. He endured a barren spell after that, but picked things up to end on eight goals and four assists, surely joining Flemming in the shop window.

    Burnley set-piece specialists:

    • Penalties: Zian Flemming
    • Free-kicks: Quilindschy Hartman, Jacob Bruun Larsen
    • Corners:  Quilindschy Hartman, Jacob Bruun Larsen
