    Brentford Squawka Score ratings 2025-26

The 2025-26 season is over, and Brentford secured a ninth-placed finish. We’ve taken a look at the Bees’ most-used XI from the campaign below and how the players have managed to perform according to the Squawka Score rating system.

The Squawka Score is a metric developed to assess a player’s performance related to other players in the same position. It’s a percentage rating from 0 to 100, calculated based on various per-90-minute statistics, including the obvious stats such as goals and assists, but also some more obscure ones that are more position-specific.

GK: Caoimhin Kelleher – 62% – Kelleher was one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League in 2025-26, preventing 0.15 goals per 90 minutes. The Irishman had a save percentage of 67.9% which may not sound the best, but not many goalkeepers did better across the campaign.

RB: Michael Kayode – 48% – Kayode ranks poorly among full-backs, despite being full of promise. He ranked well for a lack of challenges lost (0.63 per 90) and his 0.41 blocked shots per 90 wasn’t too bad. But Kayode was let down massively by his attacking stats.

RCB: Nathan Collins – 56% – The Brentford captain formed part of a defence that didn’t score too well. Collins ranked around the lower end of average for both aerial and ground duel success rate, and wasn’t the best passer. He did sit in the 80-95th percentile for his 6.33 clearances completed per 90, and 1.24 blocked shots.

LCB: Sepp van den Berg – 57% – Van den Berg was decent in the air, sitting in the 60-80th percentile among centre-backs for his aerial duel success rate. He fared even better for aerial duels won, with 4.56 per 90 placing the defender in the 95th percentile and above. He also ranked well for his 6.36 clearances completed per 90, but his passing metrics were poor.

LB: Rico Henry – 38% – Henry was replaced at left-back by Keane-Lewis Potter but was still their most-used left-back. Unfortunately, he was also the worst-rated full-back in the Premier League, ranking pretty poorly across the board, with the exception of last-man tackles and a lack of challenges lost.

RCM: Yehor Yarmolyuk – 53% – Yarmolyuk doesn’t have the best Score without doing anything exceptionally bad. He did rank well for his 6.32 ball recoveries per 90, while his 1.52 tackles won per 90 wasn’t too bad either.

LCM: Vitaly Janelt – 62% – Janelt proved himself an important defensive screen in midfield following Christian Norgaard’s departure. He ranked in the 95th percentile and among for his 1.88 interceptions retaining possession per 90 in 2025-26, as well as interceptions in his own box and intentional assists. Janelt also ranked well for his 0.44 big chances created per 90.

RW: Dango Ouattara – 55% – Like Yarmolyuk, Ouattara didn’t pull up any trees in 2025-26 but he wasn’t the worst. His 0.28 goals per 90 places him in the 60-80th percentile among his positional peers, while he’s also there for his big chances created per 90.

AM: Mikkel Damsgaard – 61% – Damsgaard finished the season among the best No.10s in the Premier League. He sat in the 80-95th percentile among attacking players for his 0.53 big chances created per 90 minutes and 6.74 penalty area entries.

LW: Kevin Schade – 48% – It wasn’t a great season for Schade, who was very hit-and-miss. He did sit in the 60-80th percentile for his 0.26 goals per 90 and 4.6 touches in the opposition box per 90. But his general creative numbers were poor.

ST: Igor Thiago – 62% – Thiago finished as the second-top scorer in the Premier League, but his Score does still leave something to be desired. He averaged 0.6 goals per 90, sitting in the 80-95th percentile among strikers, with 51.19% shooting accuracy. His Score is let down by his Expected Goals, but that didn’t stop him from finding the net frequently.
