Carlisle United were the victors in the 2022/23 League Two Playoff Final, needing penalties to overcome Stockport County in a terrific encounter at Wembley Stadium.
It was a Carlisle goal five minutes from time which sent the game to extra time but neither side were able to make the breakthrough again, sending the game to spotkicks. Taylor Charters was the hero for Carlisle, converting his penalty to send the Cumbrian side back to League One.
