This will be a third-ever EuroLeague meeting between Monaco and Baskonia, who met for the first time last season and split home wins.
The hosts (5-2) saw a three-game winning run come to an end last time out against Valencia on the road. Monaco, who average 83.0 points per game, posted 84 points — with 24 of those coming at the hands of guard Jordan Loyd — but that wasn’t enough for victory as they gave up 89 points. By losing to Valencia, Monaco no longer has the joint-best record in the EuroLeague.
As for Baskonia (4-3), they’re also looking to get back on the winning track, the Spaniards (who suffered a 98-83 loss at Panathinaikos) boast the league-best attack of 89.7 points per game. On top of that, Baskonia averages 12.3 three-pointers per game, more than any other team, led by Markus Howard with a league-leading average of 3.9 triples. That being said, Baskonia is yet to win on the road this season after losing on its three trips away from Vitoria-Gasteiz.
