MLS red cards 2026

The MLS red cards tracker records every player sent off in Major League Soccer during the 2026 season, including straight reds and second-yellow dismissals.

Red cards can shift playoff races and influence betting markets, so tracking which players and teams are accumulating dismissals matters as the season develops. The full list below is updated after every matchday. With the summer stretch underway, accumulated red cards have already cost some sides points and ban time for key players.

A red card is the most severe punishment a player can receive in MLS, resulting in an immediate ejection from the game and a subsequent suspension.

The league has a strict disciplinary code, and players who receive red cards are subject to review by the MLS Disciplinary Committee. The all-time record for the most red cards in MLS history belongs to Roger Espinoza, who was sent off 13 times in his career.

For teams, the record for most red cards in a single season was set by FC Dallas in 2014 with 8 red cards. In the 2025 regular season, 11 players received red cards, with no player receiving more than one. Of those, four were straight red cards, including to defender Adilson Malanda of Charlotte and goalkeeper Christopher Keith Brady of the Chicago Fire.

The other seven were for second yellow cards, with defender Brendan Daniel Hines-Ike of Austin among those sent off. The league’s disciplinary rules are designed to ensure the safety of the players and to maintain a high level of sportsmanship.
