When is the 2022 World Cup final? Date and kick-off time for Qatar’s winter showpiece

If the 2022 World Cup seems like a million miles away, the 2022 World Cup final is anything but conceivable at this moment in time.

With this season’s Premier League title race and the Champions League still in full swing, not to mention the fact we still don’t definitively know which nations will be in the quadrennial competition in Qatar — with the fates of Portugal and Italy still unknown — it seems almost nonsensical to think about the World Cup final now.

However, this year’s unprecedented winter competition will come around a lot sooner than you think. One minute it’ll be transfer chaos, yellow ties and pre-season globe-trotting in the summer, the next minute, national anthems in the Middle East and football’s best battling it out for the game’s most-cherished trophy.

There’s plenty to come until the whistle sounds in Qatar, but get ahead of the curve and read on below to find out exactly when the competition is set to take place — and when the final will be.
