Wilfried Zaha’s brother has urged Crystal Palace to allow the Ivorian to make his “dream” move to Arsenal.

Zaha has been the Eagles’ most important player since returning from Manchester United in 2014 – at first on loan, then permanently – scoring 35 goals in 180 games.

Will Zaha make his “dream” move? Five key things to know…

  1. Zaha has been Palace’s star man for a number of years.
  2. The 26-year-old’s form has seen him linked with Spurs and Arsenal.
  3. The Gunners have reportedly launched a £40m bid for Zaha.
  4. Wilfried’s brother, Judicael, has confirmed Arsenal is his “dream move”.
  5. Zaha scored 10 Premier League goals for Palace during 2018/19.

However, his form has often attracted the attention of some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs, with Arsenal being heavily linked in recent months.

And now, a move to the Emirates is beginning to look on the cards with Wilfried’s brother, Judicael, telling Sky Sports News: “Wilfried will always hold Crystal Palace and their fans in the highest regard and all the support they’ve given means the world to him. It’s my brother’s dream though, to play for Arsenal.

“Given all Wilfried has given to Palace to help them remain a PL club, I hope Palace will be able to see their way to agreeing a deal with Arsenal that allows Wilfried to realise his dream of playing European Football for the club he’s supported since childhood”

Arsenal manager Unai Emery is thought to have a mere £45m with which to strengthen his squad this summer, although that could increase with player sales.

Judicael’s revelations come just after David Seaman, speaking at Arsenal’s 2019/20 kit launch, warned Emery about blowing his budget on Zaha when the Gunners are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements.

“There’s talk of Zaha coming in but that’s not really the position that we need, which is strange,” he said.

“I wouldn’t have thought [Wilf Zaha will be wearing the Arsenal shirt], I’d be very surprised if he did. I’d rather see a good defender wearing it!”
