Transfer rumours Diallo Man Utd

Manchester United expect to finalise the signing of Amad Diallo during the January Transfer Window while Mauricio Pochettino could attempt to lure Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris to Paris Saint-Germain.

Liverpool, meanwhile, are reportedly in the market for defensive reinforcements, with Jurgen Klopp’s side said to be among those chasing Roma defender Roger Ibanez.

Elsewhere, with Arsenal in desperate need of creativity, the Gunners have now been linked with a sensational move for Real Madrid midfielder Isco, who is out of favour at the Bernabeu under Zinedine Zidane.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed the imminent arrival of Amad Diallo, 18, from Serie A club Atalanta.

Speaking after Friday’s 2-1 win over Aston Villa, Solskjaer said: “We have had all the paperwork, I can’t see any obstacles. He’s coming. Hope very soon he will be with us. Very excited to have him in. He’ll need time to develop.”

Meanwhile, Manchester United are hoping to seal a deal for Caicedo for around £4.5m and firm contact has been made  with his club Independiente del Valle, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Caicedo would likely be regarded as a signing for the future. But with Paul Pogba’s future at Old Trafford still uncertain (Juventus are 5-2 favourites to sign the Frenchman) there could soon be a vacancy in midfield.

Hugo Lloris to Paris Saint-Germain?

Tottenham fear Hugo Lloris, 34, could leave the club to link up with Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain, according to The Sun.

The report suggests Spurs are already considering replacements for the France captain with West Brom’s Sam Johnstone and Dean Henderson of Manchester United two names under consideration.

Dele Alli, out of favour under Jose Mourinho in north London, has been tipped to reunite with the Argentine in the French capital, where Pochettino’s appointment at Parc de Princes is imminent. PSG are priced as 4/7 favourites to sign the England international in January, but Lloris could also be on the former Tottenham manager’s list.

The 2018 World Cup winner has now entered the final 18 months of his current Spurs deal.

Arsenal ‘join race’ for Ibanez

Source: Calciomercato

Arsenal are said to have joined Liverpool in the race for the £35million-rated Roma centre-back Roger Ibanez.

Reports claim Everton have lodged an enquiry, too, while Paris Saint-Germain, Leicester and Tottenham are also credited with an interest. In any case, Mikel Arteta will likely have to wait until the summer if he is to land Ibanez, who is on loan at Roma until the end of the season.

Defenders David Luiz and Shkodran Mustafi are in line to leave Emirates Stadium when their contracts expire at the end of the campaign, if not before, with Sead Kolasinac heading to Schalke this month. It leaves Arteta looking for reinforcements as he continues his Arsenal rebuild.

Arsenal ‘want Isco’

Arteta is prioritising a move for an attacking a midfielder this summer but will have to trim an already bloated squad before bringing anyone through the door this January.

A move for Isco makes sense, with the 28-year-old playing a bit-part role under Zidane at Real Madrid this season. Financial constraints mean talks are focused on agreeing an initial loan deal with the Gunners currently priced at 4/1 to sign the Spaniard.

Arteta failed to land Houssem Aouar last summer but remains determined to add a creative player to his midfield with Ozil still frozen out at the Emirates. The German playmaker is reportedly adamant he will run down his current deal, which expires in the summer.
