Reported Arsenal target Joan Jordan has played down talk of a January move away from Sevilla.

Manchester United meanwhile are reportedly ready to cool their interest in Jadon Sancho and instead shift their focus to his Borussia Dortmund teammate Erling Braut Haaland.

It could be a busy summer at Old Trafford with reports also claiming United have accepted Paul Pogba will not be signing a new contract with the club and are ready to sell the Frenchman at the end of the season.

United fans will hope to see the club active in the January Transfer Window with Arsenal also hoping to strengthen after a recent turnaround in form. Valencia’s Carlos Soler is the latest name to be linked with a winter move to north London.

Joan Jordan ‘comfortable’ at Sevilla

Reported Arsenal target Joan Jordan has played down talk of a January move to Arsenal, insisting he is ‘super comfortable’ at Sevilla.

The 26-year-old midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to north London but the Spaniard has indicated he is not considering a winter move.

“I have always been very clear about the present… the future does not feed me, it takes away from me and does not give me the energy I need,” he told Estadio Deportivo.

“I am at a super ambitious club, and I have nothing more to say because I really am super comfortable here, like I was when I arrived here.”

The Gunners have also been linked with a January swoop for Real Madrid’s Isco (4/1 to move to Emirates Stadium) after a summer move for Houssem Aouar failed to materialise.

Man Utd ‘want Haaland over Sancho’

United’s summer-long pursuit of Sancho came to nothing in the end as Dortmund held firm in their £107m valuation of the winger.

The England international is still firmly on the radar at Old Trafford and United remain 5-1 favourites with Sky Bet to sign the winger. But his rather uninspiring form this season – just one Bundesliga goal and four assists – has seemingly led to a rethink.

Pogba to be sold in summer?

There could be big changes at United this summer with the Mirror also reporting Paul Pogba’s time at the club is almost up. The Frenchman’s form has drastically improved over the last month, excelling in Friday’s victory over Aston Villa that saw his side move level on points with Liverpool at the top of the Premier League.

United are said to be very impressed with the World Cup winner’s application during that run but privately have accepted they must now sell this summer with Pogba refusing to sign a new deal at Old Trafford.

Juventus are the current favourites with Sky Bet to sign the midfielder (5/2) during the January window with Real Madrid priced at 4/1.

Arsenal linked with Soler move

Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for Valencia’s Carlos Soler this month.

The 24-year-old has scored six times and provided five assists for Los Che this season, form that has attracted interest from north London, according to El Desmarque.

Mikel Arteta however is likely to find himself in a position where he must first sell before he can buy, recently admitting there are still a number of players at the club who must be moved on.

He told reporters: “There are some players that are going to go on loan, they are going to leave, and that’s the priority at the moment because we can’t sustain the numbers that we have in certain positions.

“We are looking to do that and then we will see. If we have the right opportunity in the positions that we need some more help, we are working with the club to try to address that.”

Newcastle ‘want Tomori on loan’

Fikayo Tomori could be set for a January move away from Chelsea with Newcastle interested in signing the defender on loan.

The Mail on Sunday report Magpies boss Steve Bruce wants to sign the England Under-21 international, who has been limited to just one Premier League appearance this term – off the bench against Liverpool back in September with Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma now seemingly Frank Lampard’s preferred pair at the back.

Newcastle are likely to be limited to loan moves this January with Bruce also keen on a move for Leicester midfielder Hamza Choudhury.

Chelsea meanwhile remain strongly with Declan Rice (3/1 to move to Stamford Bridge this month).
