RB: Ryan Alebiosu – 68% – Seven chances created and 30 passes into the penalty area from every available minute. Alebiosu has been a consistent attacking outlet on the right and one of the more reliable performers in the side.
RCB: Tom Atcheson – 60% – Forty clearances, 17 aerial duels won and 10 blocked shots from seven starts, with an assist. A red card is what marks the season, and the suspension disrupted a back four that was finding its feet.
LCB: Sean McLoughlin – 70% – The best defender at the club. Sixty-six clearances and 66 progressive passes both lead the squad, with 19 aerial duels won, 11 blocked shots, 10 interceptions and 26 possessions regained in his own third, all from every available minute. A goal too.
LB: Yuri Ribeiro – 61% – Twenty-seven passes into the penalty area and 14 corners from five appearances. Ribeiro has shared the left-back role and the numbers reflect a player still establishing himself.
RCM: Kristi Montgomery – 63% – Seventeen interceptions, 39 duels won, 12 tackles won and 19 possessions regained in the middle third all lead the club, with a goal. An error leading to a goal is the one blemish on a diligent season from Montgomery.
LCM: Adam Forshaw – 58% – Three starts and 220 minutes with nothing of note recorded. The lowest rating in the side and a reflection of how little Forshaw has been able to contribute.
AM: Todd Cantwell – 70% – The captain has been Blackburn’s creative centre. Thirteen chances created, 33 passes into the penalty area and 25 corners all lead the club, with a goal from 14 shots and seven on target. Three big chances missed and eight occasions beaten one-on-one are the debits.
RW: Ryoya Morishita – 67% – Two goals, an assist and a club-leading 11 completed take-ons from every available minute, with 72 passes into the final third. Morishita has been a consistent threat on the right without quite tipping a game.
LW: Oladapo Afolayan – 69% – Three goals and two assists from a club-high 19 shots with eight on target, and 27 touches in the opposition box. Fifty-seven duels lost is the worst figure at the club, which is what happens when a winger takes people on as often as Afolayan does.
ST: Andri Gudjohnsen – 68% – Three goals, an assist and a club-leading three clear-cut chances created from five starts, with 18 aerial duels won. Guðjohnsen has been efficient with his minutes and a case can be made for more of them.
