Man Utd Squawka Score Ratings 2025/26

With the 2026/27 season fast-approaching, it’s time for you to take a look at Man Utd’s most-used XI from last season below and how the players managed to perform according to the Squawka Score rating system.

The Squawka Score is a metric developed to assess a player’s performance related to other players in the same position. It’s a percentage rating from 0 to 100, calculated based on various per-90-minute statistics, including the obvious stats such as goals and assists, but also some more obscure ones that are more position-specific.

GK: Senne Lammens – 54% – Lammens ranked quite lowly for saves, diving saves and even clean sheets – but he made no major errors leading to goals, and his goals prevented numbers were relatively strong.

RB: Diogo Dalot – 61% – The divisive Portuguese full-back possessed one of the higher Expected Assists tallies in the division, and generally ranked well for passes in the final third completed.

CB: Harry Maguire – 61% – Maguire boasted one of the stronger ground duel success rates across the entire league – the same with his aerial duel success rate, which saw him win just shy of 75% of his battles.

CB: Lisandro Martinez – 62% – As United’s defensive passing outlet, Martinez’s Score increased through his distribution into the opposition half and final third.

LB: Luke Shaw – 57% – Shaw didn’t rank particularly well for duels and his in-possession stats were not among the best in the league, but he was rarely dispossessed in his own half, nor did he have many errors leading to shots.

RCM: Casemiro – 56% – Casemiro was solid if unspectacular in his last season at Manchester United. He ranked well for tackles won and shoring up the defence. But as he isn’t needed to push Man Utd forward, his Score is hurt there.

LCM: Kobbie Mainoo – 62% – The 21-year-old was competent in a number of different categories rather than excelling in any particular one. For a midfielder, Mainoo did rank quite highly for forward passing accuracy, which was partly due to the number of matches he played in comparison to some of his counterparts in the league.

AM: Bruno Fernandes – 75% – Fernandes’ score improved greatly when played in his more natural advanced position and where he was able to impact the game from. The Portuguese midfielder didn’t rank well for defensive attributes, but showed up for passes into the final third completed and, of course, for assists, where he comfortably led the way for the whole competition.

RW: Amad Diallo – 67% – Diallo ranked pretty well for his ground duel success rate and attacking involvement. The Ivorian also sat in the 95th percentile and above for successful passes into the penalty area. It’s also important to mention that he played in a couple of different roles following Ruben Amorim’s departure in January.

LW: Matheus Cunha – 65% – One of the best-performing attacking midfielders in the league, Cunha could improve in terms of chance creation but ranks highly for shots, possessions won in the attacking third and post-shot xG.

ST: Benjamin Sesko – 68% – Sesko recovered from a poor start, ranking well for his non-penalty post-shot Expected Goals. His score improved as the season progressed, with the Slovenian growing into his role at the club.

Man Utd set-piece specialists:

  • Penalties: Bruno Fernandes
  • Free-kicks: Bruno Fernandes, Bryan Mbeumo
  • Corners:  Bruno Fernandes, Bryan Mbeumo, Mason Mount, Amad Diallo
