Mauricio Pochettino was the latest victim of the managerial merry-go-round after he was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur earlier this week.

Despite guiding Spurs to a Champions League final last season, the Argentinian was unable to keep the wheels oiled this campaign.

With the north London club languishing in the bottom half of the table, Daniel Levy opted to wield the axe and relieve Pochettino of his managerial duties.

He has since been succeeded by the ever-polarising Jose Mourinho, much to the shock of the football world, though Pochettino will surely have no shortage of clubs vying for his signature now that he’s available.

And Pochettino could yet be joined in the free agent market with the pressure cranking up considerably on one or two Premier League managers. We’re looking at you, Manuel Pellegrini and Marco Silva.

Indeed, the managerial carousel has proven one of the harshest and most volatile terrains in recent years, with the lifespan of those in the dug-out seemingly decreasing season by season.

But, it’s not always the dreaded sack that sees coaches depart from the Premier league; sometimes a manager leaves these shores, not because they were cast aside by a club’s owners, but rather to pursue a fresh challenge in a new league.

With that considered, can you name the last 20 permanent managers to leave a Premier League club?
