Champions League last-16 quiz: Can you name every remaining club’s top-scorer this season?
Things are heating up in the Champions League as the group stages have now reached their concluding chapters and we approach the knockout rounds.
The usual suspects have secured their places in the pot for Monday’s draw in Switzerland, and it will now be an anxious wait for fans across the continent to see whether their beloved club were handed a favourable – or nightmarish – last-16 opponent.
But, this is the Champions League, a competition where odds can be defied and fairytales come true, so whether your club draws Atleti or Atalanta, each and every player will need to be on song and firing on all cylinders to progress further.
And no greater will a position need to bring its A-game than those operating in the final third. Goals decide matches, so strikers will need to step up to the plate and provide the goods in these season-defining fixtures.
One player already producing this campaign is Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski, who is sure to play a prominent role in the knockout stages, as he currently leads the charts in the Champions League for 2019/20 with 10 goals to his name.
The Pole has been the trusty provider and talisman for the Bavarians this season, with his absurd tally both domestically and in Europe alleviating one or two nagging frustrations that have presided over the Allianz Arena in recent months.
But, it’s not just Lewandowski whose goals are proving invaluable. So, can you name each of the remaining Champions League club’s top goalscorer this season?
