Can you name every player to score a hat-trick in the Champions League?
Only four players have scored back-to-back hat-tricks in Champions League history, and Karim Benzema has joined that illustrious quartet.
Having single-handedly eliminated PSG from the 2021/22 Champions League last-16, with a mini-remontada at the Bernabeu, the crack-shot Frenchman repeated his feat in London, claiming the match ball against Chelsea in the first leg of Real Madrid’s quarter-final clash.
His back-to-back hat-trick makes him only the second player in the competition’s history to do so in the knockouts, with the other being the Champions League’s greatest-ever goalscorer, Cristiano Ronaldo. Esteemed company.
