Elmohamady’s caps and Grealish’s assists: Aston Villa fans take on ‘Know Your Squad’ challenge

Aston Villa were humbled at home by Manchester City at the weekend, but did their fans fare any better off the pitch?

Well, to find out which Premier League club has the most knowledgeable fans, we have been putting match-going supporters under the spotlight, testing them with trivia about their club’s current crop of players.

This weekend, we were in the nation’s ‘second city’ to quiz the Villa faithful outside their home stadium on all things claret and blue, but how did they get on?

We posed 30 questions to 30 different fans, with each subjected to just one question each, before tallying up their correct answers.

The questions ranged from how many headed goals the club has scored in the Premier League this season, to who has scored the most ‘big chances’ in the current Aston Villa squad.

So, is the Villa fanbase full of Einsteins or could their squad knowledge do with some work?
