In 2003/04 Wenger made Premier League history by masterminding a title win in unbeaten fashion and just a year later he would provide another watershed moment in the history of English football.
Under the illustrious Highbury lights on Valentine’s Day in 2005, Wenger captivated the English game by naming the first-ever all-foreign 16-man squad in the game’s history on these shores.
With Sol Campbell and Ashley Cole both sidelined through injury and illness respectively, the Frenchman opted for a fully multinational matchday squad, and the result? Well let’s just say Crystal Palace didn’t stand much of a chance as the cosmopolitan hosts cantered to a 5-1 victory.
