England host Kosovo on Tuesday in Euro 2020 qualifying looking to continue their dominance of Group A.

The Three Lions have won all three of their games so far, putting 14 goals past the Czech Republic, Montenegro and, most recently, Bulgaria.

Kosovo have been just as impressive in their own right, too, sitting second in the group with two wins and two defeats from four games so far. Back-to-back victories over Bulgaria and the Czech Republic have left Bernard Challandes‘ side in a strong position just behind England.

Last five meetings: England vs Kosovo

This is the first meeting between England and Kosovo.

Ones to watch

England: Mason Mount

Mason Mount replaced Jordan Henderson in the 67th minute against Bulgaria to make his long-awaited debut for England at senior level and now, he will be eyeing his first start.

The midfielder already has two goals for Chelsea this season, despite their early-season struggles, and appears to be making the transition from Championship loanee to Premier League starter with ease.

Whether he’s driving at defenders with the ball or playing an intricate through ball, Mount has the whole package and a strong performance in a Three Lions shirt could leave Gareth Southgate with real food for thought.

Key stat: Mount has created more chances (8) than any other Chelsea player so far this season.

Away team: Vedat Muriqi

Vedat Muriqi joined Turkish giants Fenerbahce during the summer transfer window from Çaykur Rizespor and, thus far, hasn’t looked back. The 25-year-old has two goals in three Super Lig games and his mixture of lethal finishing and adept link-up play point all signs toward him being the real deal.

Furthermore, he’s played a key role in Kosovo’s success so far in Group A, scoring in the wins over Bulgaria and the Czech Republic to take his record to six goals in 21 caps. If England are to put Kosovo to the sword as many expect, they will have to keep close tabs on Muriqi.

Key stat: Muriqi has four goals in his last five games for club and country.

Team news

England

Aaron Wan-Bissaka pulled out of the England squad due to a back injury just before the win over Bulgaria and is now back with Manchester United receiving treatment, while teammate Jesse Lingard has also withdrawn due to illness.

James Maddison will be hopeful he has done enough to start while Trent Alexander-Arnold could be preferred to Kieran Trippier at right-back as Southgate continues to assess his options.

Predicted XI: Pickford; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Maguire, Rose; Henderson, Mount, Barkley; Rashford, Sterling, Kane.

Kosovo

Kosovo have a clean bill of health ahead of their trip to the South Coast and are clear of suspensions.

Predicted XI: Muric; Vojvoda, Rhahmani, Aliti, Hadergjonaj; Voca, Halimi; Zhegrova, Celina, Rashani; Muriqi.

Squawka prediction

The feelgood factor just keeps on gaining momentum for England after another resounding win last week. The Three Lions haven’t lost a game in normal time since a 2-1 Uefa Nations League defeat to Spain in September 2018 (10 games), while their only loss of any sort since then was against the Netherlands in the semi-final of that competition.

Kosovo have surprised and impressed in equal measure during this qualifying campaign so far and might well make it to their first-ever major international tournament. If England don’t show them the respect they deserve, Southgate’s side could be in for a nasty surprise.

That said, the likes of Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling and Ross Barkley were irrepressible against Bulgaria and another performance like that will surely see England over the line.

Scoreline prediction: England 3-0 Kosovo
