Consequently, West Ham slipped to 16th place, two spots lower than when Lopetegui left, although they remain 13 points clear of the relegation zone with 12 matches remaining.
On a more positive note, Newcastle is currently in sixth place, just two positions away from a Champions League spot. The Magpies looked unbeatable during a recent six-game winning streak, but their form has dipped, resulting in only two wins from their last five matches. In their most recent outing, they nearly squandered a 4-1 halftime lead but managed to edge out Nottingham Forest with a 4-3 victory.

Michail Antonio will remain sidelined until next season, while Crysencio Summerville is also out. Vladimir Coufal and Lucas Paquetá are both doubtful, and there is currently no return date for Niclas Fullkrug, who is nursing a thigh injury.
Newcastle team news
Jamaal Lascelles will not be available for Newcastle as he continues to recover from a knee injury. This match may come too soon for Joelinton, whereas Sven Botman could be included in Eddie Howe’s matchday squad.
