Man Utd set for an unmerry Christmas after West Ham loss
Manchester United’s wait for a Premier League goal continues as they suffered a 2-0 defeat against West Ham this afternoon.
The game appeared to be heading towards a goalless draw until David Moyes’ men scored twice in six minutes.
Jarrod Bowen scored the first goal to put the hosts in front, and Mohammed Kudus rounded things off by scoring the second goal, subsequently condemning the visitors to another historic setback.

It has been three consecutive games in which the Red Devils have not scored in England’s top division, and four games in all competitions, which is something the club last experienced in November 1992 under Alex Ferguson.

Kudus took advantage of another defensive error to score his 10th goal for the club since joining from Ajax in the summer, just when Manchester United were looking to get back into the game.
He’s been in excellent form at home this season, having scored nine Premier League goals at home, second only to Mohamed Salah’s tally of 11 goals, but the Ghanian forward has more non-penalty goals (9) at home than his Egyptian rival (8).
Lucas Paqueta provided the assist for both of West Ham’s goals, taking his total number of assists in his last two Premier League games to four, which is the same number of assists he recorded in his first 43 matches for them in the competition.
While the Londoners celebrate, it’s a different story for Manchester United who have now lost 13 matches in all competitions this season. This is their worst record before Christmas since 1930/31, a season in which they finished bottom of the top-flight.
