Tottenham Hotspur will look to maintain their winning start to the new Champions League season against a familiar opponent.
Spurs haven’t looked too convincing in any game this season following their amazing 2-0 win over Manchester City at the Etihad. They did, however, pick up solid wins — against a struggling West Ham side that played most of the second half with 10 men and Villarreal in their Uefa Champions League opener.
Since then, though, two uninspiring draws after falling behind 0-1 at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers and 0-2 away to Brighton and Hove Albion.
Now, Thomas Frank’s men will look to make it six points from two games when facing Bodo/Glimt in Norway on Tuesday.

Spurs’ record this season has actually been better away (78% of points won) than at home (67% of points won). Two wins (Man City and West Ham) and a draw (Brighton) in their three games on the road.
Meanwhile, Bodo/Glimt have been a dominant home side since the start of the 2025 Eliteserien, back in March. Eight wins from 11 matches hosting fellow Norwegians, the tied-best tally in the league.

Tottenham are still suffering from the wave of injuries that started last season. James Maddison, Yves Bissouma, Dejan Kulusevski, Radu Dragusin, Ben Davies and Kota Takai have yet to play this year and all of them will remain out of contention for the foreseeable future.
New signing Randal Kolo Muani made his debut after coming off the bench against Villarreal but got hurt in training. Fellow striker Dominic Solanke is also dealing with what Frank called a “tricky” ankle problem. All signs point towards Richarlison keeping his spot as the starting striker.
Elsewhere, there is not much for the Danish manager to change. Pedro Porro is likely to go back into the line-up with one of Djed Spence or Destiny Udogie slotting in at left-back. Pape Sarr was rested in the Carabao Cup tie midweek but came on as a second-half substitute against Wolves and could be an extra option in midfield.
Familiar opponent
It hasn’t been long since Tottenham last faced Bodo/Glimt. Both teams met in the Europa League semi-finals last season, with Spurs coming out on top after winning at home (3-1) and away (2-0).

And the Norwegians haven’t changed too much since then. After all, their league campaign started in March and what was the main transfer window for most of Europe was midseason for them, with a just a few adjustments here and there. All 11 of their starters from their last game against Tottenham are still in the squad.
In addition, the Champions League may prove too much for Bodo/Glimt. They drew away to Sparta Prague 2-2 after going down two goals to nothing. It was a lively affair, with 3.98 Expected Goals for the hosts and 2.52 xG for the visitors.
Ange Postecoglou managed to win both games against the Norwegian side – who loves to keep the ball – during his late-season change in approach.
A more direct style of play, leaning more on transitions and fast breaks. This could be a perfect match for Thomas Frank, whose Tottenham team has excelled in this precise way this season.
