Tony Pulis has warned that Snoop Dogg must not get involved in selecting the Swansea City starting XIs after joining as co-owner.
Snoop Dogg became the latest big-name American investor in an Welsh football club earlier this summer, acquiring a stake in Swansea. While he’s not a Hollywood representative a la Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney at Wrexham, Snoop Dogg is one of the biggest names in modern music.
The 53-year-old has previous involvement in sports — and sports entertainment. He most recently appeared as a special correspondent for NBC at last year’s Olympics. There wasn’t a day that passed without a clip of Snoop Dogg supporting United States athletes going viral. He even turned up to support the dressage events in full equestrian attire!

Snoop Dogg is also a member of the WWE Hall of Fame and has featured in multiple WrestleManias, including having a match at WrestleMania 39. But now he’s getting involved in football.
Snoop Dogg’s links with Swansea first showed when he was used as a model in the launch of their 2025-26 home kit. And a week later, his co-ownership was confirmed.
But Welsh manager Pulis is slightly cautious about Snoop Dogg, depending on his level of involvement with Swansea.
“Would I be pleased if someone like that came into a football club? Yeah, as long as they didn’t poke their nose in and start picking the team and picking the players and picking the tactics, it’d be no issues to me,” Pulis told sports betting site BetVictor.

Snoop Dogg isn’t the only famous co-owner of Swansea. Earlier this year, Luka Modric was announced to have bought a stake in the Welsh club.
The Croatian midfielder, who turns 40 in September, is still playing with AC Milan after leaving Real Madrid. But he will also have an eye on the Championship when he’s not playing in Serie A.
And Pulis was a bit more welcoming for Modric.
“I’ve met Luka Modric. What a wonderful, wonderful man,” he added.
“An absolutely fantastic player. Top, top player. And I mean a top, top player, but he’s a fantastic lad as well.
“Having Luka around would be unbelievable. Snoop Dogg, I don’t even know what he sings!”
Swansea are about to embark on their eighth season in the Championship, after relegation from the Premier League in 2018. The Swans finished 11th last season and were seven points outside the play-offs.
Alan Sheehan was brought it as manager towards the end of the 2024-25 campaign, so this is his first pre-season in charge. Swansea have made five new signings so far, including the arrival of Zeidane Inoussa for around £5.1m.
The Swans open their 2025-26 Championship campaign away to Middlesbrough on Saturday 9th August.
