Richarlison admits he doesn’t know what the future holds amid links to PSG

Everton forward Richarlison has conceded that he is unsure of where his future lies as he continues to be linked with a move to PSG.

The 32-capped Brazil international, who has scored 43 goals in 123 appearances for the Toffees, was a reported target of the Parisians over the summer, which came as Real Madrid really ramped up the pressure to sign Kylian Mbappe, who remains in the last year of his contract.

Barcelona have also been credited with an interest for the mercurial forward since he traded Vicarage Road for Goodison Park in 2018, but he remains on Merseyside and has now reassured Everton fans that he feels at home with the club, though he was coy on his future in a recent interview with Ole.

He said: “I’m always very careful when I talk about it. I have great affection for the people of Everton and for the club, who received me so well from the first day I arrived.

“I don’t know what the future holds. If one day I have to go, it must be good for me, but also for the club.

“But if I stay, I will continue giving my life for this shirt and for the fans, who have always supported me and were with me at all times.

“I have enormous gratitude and feel at home when I am at Finch Farm training ground or Goodison Park stadium.”

The rumoured interest from PSG also stems from Richarlison’s friendship with international teammate Neymar, with the duo having played a key role as Brazil reached the Copa America final in the summer, which they subsequently lost to a Lionel Messi-inspired Argentina.

Richarlison stayed on for international duty with Brazil U23s for the Tokyo Olympics, where his nation won gold in the Men’s Football Tournament, and he top scored in the quadrennial event with five goals in six appearances.
