Anthony Taylor’s Bournemouth record
Taylor has overseen 25 of Bournemouth’s matches, with his first coming in the 2006-07 FA Cup. Interestingly, his first two league games as referee of Bournemouth came in League Two as Taylor was rising through the ranks. Taylor took charge of just one Bournemouth game last season, a defeat to Chelsea. The Cherries are winless in their past seven matches with Taylor in the middle, drawing two. Four of those games did come against sides in the so-called Big Six, though.

As mentioned, Taylor was referee for Bournemouth’s defeat to Liverpool on the opening day of the 2025-26 Premier League season. The Cherries came from two goals down and looked to be on course for a point, before conceding another two late on. But Taylor had no influence on the game.
