Arsenal look to make the Champions League semi-final when they travel to Real Madrid in their quarter-final second leg at the Santiago Bernabau on Wednesday 16th April at 8pm.
The Gunners hold a 3-0 advantage following the first leg and will look to make the semi-final for the first time since 2009. Real Madrid are the defending and record European champions but will need to overturn a big deficit to advance. This game will be broadcast live on TNT Sport.

How both teams go into Real Madrid vs Arsenal
There weren’t many people that would’ve predicted the scoreline in the first leg but Arsenal put in one of their best ever performances to hold a 3-0 lead heading into the second leg. The Champions League looks to be Arsenal’s only chance for a major trophy this season and it’s one they’ve excelled in so far. They finished third in the group stage, losing just one game along the way. In the last 16 they were tasked with overcoming PSV Eindhoven, something they did with ease picking up the victory with a 6-1 aggregate score.
Arsenal come into this game off the back of a 1-1 draw with Brentford at the weekend. It was a much changed Arsenal side, albeit still a competitive one, with Mikel Arteta having one eye on this game and Arsenal struggled to be at their best. Their domestic form has been good though, with the side going six games without a loss. Too many draws have stopped them from closing the gap on Liverpool though, who still enjoy a 13 point buffer at the top of the league.
Real Madrid are in real danger of failing to defend their Champions League title and it’s going to take an incredible performance for them to overturn the first leg defeat. If any side are capable of doing so though, it’s Los Blancos. Things haven’t been easy for Real Madrid in the Champions League this season; they finished 11th in the group stage, having lost three of their eight matches in the initial stage of the competition. They then had to take on Manchester City in the playoff stage, beating them 6-3 on aggregate before overcoming city rivals Atletico Madrid on penalties in the last 16.
Los Blancos laboured to a 1-0 win over Alaves at the weekend, in a game that saw Kylian Mbappe pick up a red card. That victory keeps them four points behind La Liga leaders, Barcelona, though with a huge El Classico contest set to take place at the beginning of May.
Arsenal team news
Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus and Takehiro Tomiyasu are out for the season and they will be joined on the sidelines by Gabriel, who is hoping to be back fit in time for the start of next season. They could also be missing Riccardo Califiori, who picked up an injury during the international break.
Real Madrid team news
Eder Militao and Dani Carvajal are out for the season, while Dani Ceballos also won’t be back until mid-May. It’s also unlikely that Ferland Mendy will feature after he picked up an injury in the last 16 win over Atletico Madrid.
