Real Madrid Club World Cup 2025 fixtures: Dates, venues and analysis

Real Madrid will be looking to extend their status as world football’s most decorated club at the 2025 Fifa Club World Cup.

A new era begins for Los Blancos with former player-turned-manager Xabi Alonso inheriting the Madrid throne following Carlo Ancelotti’s departure to manage the Brazilian national team.

Ancelotti left his successor a squad featuring some of the most promising and established footballers. But the record 15-time European champions went an entire campaign without lifting silverware, and they will be hoping to correct this in the United States.

Five-time Club World Cup winners, more than any other side, Real Madrid previously lifted the now-defunct Intercontinental Cup on three occasions. Additionally, they became the inaugural champions of the revamped Fifa version of the Intercontinental Cup in 2024, defeating Mexican outfit and Concacaf Champions Cup holders Pachuca 3-0 in Qatar.

And the pair were reunited in their Club World Cup group phase, with Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal and Red Bull Salzburg completing the quartet. With 32 titles, Real are the most decorated club when it comes to international honours, and very few will bet against them adding one more this summer.

Read on to find out when and where Real Madrid will be in action.
