Spread Betting Tips: Premier League Newcomers 2025/26 – Player Goals Spread Focus

If you’re new to this, here’s a quick primer: In spread betting, you’re presented with a goal-scoring range for a player (say, 4.25). You then decide whether the actual number of goals they score will be above (“buy”) or below (“sell”) that figure. Bigger wins or losses come from being further off the mark. So if you back “above 4.25” and the player scores three goals, you’re down by 1.25 points multiplied by your stake.

Now, let’s look at six exciting Premier League newcomers whose goal spreads with Spreadex suggest they could make a splash in the 2025/26 campaign.

Viktor Gyokeres – Available to buy at 19.5

  • Why he stands out: Gyokeres has already scored two goals across just three league games for Arsenal this season.
  • What “19.5” means: Spreadex expects him to score around 19-20 goals this season. You’re betting above that (i.e. betting if he’ll score more than 19.5).

The ‘missing piece’ of Arteta’s Arsenal jigsaw is off to a solid start with two goals in the 5-0 win over Leeds, although he flattered to deceive in away matches against Manchester United and Liverpool. Reaching 20+ goals in the Premier League is a huge ask, even for top strikers but Gyokeres’ record in the last few years is mind-bogglingly good. He scored 97 times in 102 appearances in all competitions during his spell at Sporting Lisbon, averaging more than a goal every game in the Portuguese Primeira Liga.

Evan Guessand – Available to buy at 5.5

  • Why he stands out: Guessand enjoyed by far the most productive campaign of his career last season with 12 goals in 32 appearances for Nice.
  • What “5.5” means: Spreadex expects him to score around 5-6 goals this season. You’re betting above that (i.e. betting if he’ll score more than 5.5)

Evan Guessand’s ability to slot into a handful of different attacking positions should make him a handy addition to Unai Emery’s squad this season and the line seems low here given his strong showing in Ligue 1 last season. He may take some time to get settled but could explode into life in the second half of the Premier League campaign.

Jamie Gittens – Available to buy at 4.25

  • Why he stands out: Gittens has shown his ability in front of goal during his spell at Borussia Dortmund – he managed four Champions League goals alone last term.
  • What “4.25” means: If he scores 5 goals or more, a buy makes money (5 − 4.25 = +0.75 points). If he scores 4 goals or fewer, a sell makes money (4.25 − 4 = +0.25 points)

Jamie Gittens will have his work cut out to keep the likes of Estevao, Pedro Neto and Alejandro Garnacho out of the Chelsea team but if he manages to get enough minutes, the young Englishmen should offer a real goal threat. He scored 12 times in all competitions last term, including four in the Champions League.

Nick Woltemade – Available to buy at 10

  • Why he stands out: Woltemade, alongside Yoane Wissa, comes to Newcastle to try and replace the goals lost by Alexander Isak’s huge money sale to Liverpool.
  • What “10” means: If you buy at 10 and he scores 12 goals, you win 2 points × your stake. If you buy at 10 and he scores 8 goals, you lose 2 points × your stake. If he lands exactly on 10, both sides effectively “break even” and nobody wins or loses

Nick Woltemade enjoyed a break-out season in the Bundesliga last year, scoring 12 times in 28 appearances in the league and scoring 17 in total in all competitions, including one in the DFB Pokal final in which Stuttgart emerged victorious. At 6’6, the German international has the physical presence to be an immediate threat in the Premier League.

Wilson Isidor – Available to buy at 7.25

  • Why he stands out: Wilson Isidor has already scored in both of Sunderland’s home matches at the Stadium of Light this season.
  • What “7.25” means: 7.25 suggests he’s expected to score around 7 goals this season.

A promising start early on for Isidor, who was Sunderland’s top scorer in their promotion-winning Championship campaign last time out. Hitting eight would mean your “buy” pays off. Maintaining his early season form could be tough as the Black Cats are not expected to do much more than battle against relegation but Isidor will be their key goal threat this term.

Xavi Simons – Available to buy at 7.5

  • Why he stands out: 44 goals in 137 career appearances so far and should be offered plenty of minutes due to the injuries to James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski.
  • What “7.5” means: Similar to Isidor’s situation, Spreadex have him pegged at about 7–8 goals.

Xavi Simons arrives in the Premier League on the back of 10 goals in 25 appearances in the Bundesliga for RB Leipzig last term. Already a regular for the Netherlands, the 22 year old has bags of ability and Spurs fans will hope he can hit the ground running with Dejan Kulusveski and James Maddison both set for a lengthy spells on the sidelines.

With newcomers, the market often sets cautious expectations. That creates an opportunity. If you back a breakout star before the wider public catches on, the gains can snowball fast. If you spot a player hitting form early (like Gyökeres or Isidor, with two goals already in three games), each strike above their spread feels magnified, because you’re collecting extra points every single time. The risk is real, but that’s exactly why getting it right feels so worthwhile: you’re not just predicting a single match outcome, you’re riding the entire Premier League journey of a player who could announce himself as a star.
