Palmeiras on the other had are yet to taste defeat in the USA, although they have only managed to win one game in normal time. Having drawn with both Porto and Inter Miami, a win against Al Ahly was enough to send them through but they needed extra-time to beat fellow Serie A club Botafogo 1-0 in the Round of 16.
