Newcastle XI vs Tottenham: Predicted lineup, team news and injury updates

Eddie Howe will have almost a fully fit squad for the visit of Tottenham this weekend, in what could be a vital game in both sides season.

Newcastle: Team News

Allan Saint-Maximin is the biggest loss to Newcastle this weekend, with his thigh injury continuing to keep him sidelined. Ryan Fraser and Emil Krafth remain unavailable, with neither featuring again this season.

The rest of the squad is available to Howe and, with a top four finish on the line, he’ll be fielding his strongest eleven against one of Newcastle’s biggest rivals for Champions League qualification this season.

Sean Longstaff could be the man to come into the Newcastle starting eleven, with Howe being a big fan of the midfielder.

“He’s over his illness and has trained well this week. I’ve always maintained he is a huge part of our midfield,’ the Newcastle manager said in a Friday press conference.

“In and out of possession he’s an intelligent footballer.”

Newcastle: Predicted Lineup

Newcastle Predicted XI: Nick Pope, Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schar, Sven Botman, Dan Burn, Sean Longstaff, Bruno Guimaraes, Joelinton, Jacob Murphy, Alexander Isak, Miguel Almiron
