Two squads made up of the very best MLS and Liga MX have to offer clash on Thursday 24th July at 2am (UK time). The yearly showpiece takes place at Q2 Stadium, Austin this year and the game will be broadcast live on Amazon Prime Video.

Whilst this match is an exhibition there is still plenty of pride at place between the two biggest leagues in North and Central America. Both squads will want to win and prove their superiority over the other and everything will be left on the pitch. How both teams go into MLS All-Stars vs Liga MX All-Stars
With this being an exhibition match there is no real form to speak of from either side coming into the game but Liga MX will be buoyed by their victory last year. Liga MX ran out 4-1 winners in a thrilling match that saw the Mexican side dominate their American counterparts.
The previous two matches between these sides, the only contests to date, were both won by MLS All-Stars. In 2022, MLS were 2-1 winners with Carlos Vela starring and netting within three minutes.
The only previous encounter occurred in 2021 and went all the way to penalties, with MLS All-Stars coming out on top in a lacklustre penalty shootout.

MLS All-Stars head coach Nico Estévez has named his 30 man squad for the showpiece match with some familiar names within the ranks. Most eyes will be drawn to Lionel Messi, who plays for Inter Miami, whilst there could be some familiar with the likes of Sam Surridge, Jordi Alba and Denis Bouanga. There is one notable absentee, with Luis Suarez not being selected for the 30 man squad.
Liga MX All-Stars team news
There might be just two household names in the Liga MX squad, with Sergio Ramos of Monterrey being selected to lead the defensive line and James Rodríguez being selected in midfield. Outside of those two, there might be some unfamiliar names but there is still plenty of quality with the likes of Brian Rodríguez and Alexis Vega being selected in attack.

There have been three meetings between these two sides with MLS All-Stars coming out on top in two. Liga MX All-Stars are the most recent winners however, following their 4-1 victory last year.
