Best Bets & Predictions
| Our Prediction | Odds & Bookmaker | Confidence | Why We’re Backing It |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chelsea -1 Match Handicap | 6/4 @ SBK (40.0%) | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Chelsea have won eight of their nine Premier League away games against Burnley (D1), including each of the last six in a row. Only at Bolton (9 between 2004 and 2011) and Sunderland (9 between 2003 and 2013) have they won more consecutively in the competition. The Blues have also scored at least three goals in their last five against The Clarets. |
| Joao Pedro to Score | 7/4 @ SBK (36.4%) | ⭐⭐⭐ | João Pedro has scored in both of Chelsea’s last two Premier League games and could score in three successive appearances in the competition for just the second time. He’s let off eight shots across his last two matches and can find the net against a Burnley side who have conceded 2+ goals in their last three outings. |
Our approach: Start with Chelsea to win, add Over 2.5 Goals and João Pedro to Score or Assist for accumulator potential.

How both teams go into Burnley vs Chelsea
After 11 matches, Burnley find themselves in 17th place, outside the relegation on goal difference. The main objective for Scott Parker’s team this season was always going to be survival, and it’s been a respectable showing so far with wins against Leeds and Wolves in October. However, since then they have been beaten by Arsenal and West Ham and are not fancied to take anything against the Club World Cup Winners on Saturday lunchtime.
Chelsea head into the weekend third in the top-flight standings. Enzo Maresca’s men are six points behind leaders Arsenal and just two behind Manchester City. Before the international break, Chelsea made it four wins in their last five league matches with a 3-0 victory over Wolves, and another victory here could see them close the gap on the teams above them who both have tricky fixtures to navigate this weekend.
Burnley team news
Burnley will be without several key players this weekend. Armando Broja, formerly of the Blues, was stretchered off during Albania’s defeat to England with a familiar ankle issue. Although the injury is believed to be less serious than first thought, he is still expected to miss Saturday’s meeting with his old club.
He joins Jordan Beyer (thigh), Zeki Amdouni (knee), and Connor Roberts (Achilles) on the sidelines, none of whom are expected back before 2026.
Chelsea team news
Chelsea also had a minor scare over the break when Jamie Bynoe-Gittens picked up a knock with England’s Under-21s, but he recovered quickly and should be available on Saturday.
Enzo Fernández (knee), Pedro Neto (groin) and Benoît Badiashile (undisclosed) remain doubts for Maresca, while Dario Essugo (thigh), Cole Palmer (groin), Levi Colwill (knee), Romeo Lavia (thigh) and Mykhaylo Mudryk (serving a doping ban) are all ruled out.
Season Form & Standings
2025/26 season to date. Chelsea sit firmly in third place, vying for Champions League football, while Burnley hover just above the drop zone. Chelsea’s win rate is double that of Burnley, and their positive goal difference reflects a balanced side at both ends of the pitch.

Conclusion
Can Burnley defy their defensive issues and Chelsea’s head-to-head dominance? All signs point to another strong Chelsea showing, especially with their midfield running the show and attackers in red-hot form. For punters, Chelsea -1 handicap stands out as the best bet, meaning we’ll make a profit if the visitors win by two or more goals.
