Manchester City are chasing Arsenal for the title, but a trip to Bournemouth isn’t the gimme it once was. The Cherries have lost just seven times all season and sit in sixth, clinging to what could still potentially be a Champions League spot. The pair face off in the Premier League on Tuesday evening with kick-off set for 7:30pm. Find our match preview and best bets below.
Best Bets & Predictions
| Our Prediction | Odds & Bookmaker | Confidence | Why I’m Backing It |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cherki Anytime Assist | 2/1 @ Bet365 (33.3%) | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | It’s been an excellent first season in Manchester for Rayan Cherki. The Frenchman has recorded 12 assists in the league this season, a figure only bettered by Bruno Fernandes. Cherki however, has only started 19 league matches this season his 0.63 assists per 90, give plenty of reason to believe that there is still value in the 2/1 for another assist against Bournemouth. |
| Erling Haaland and Rayan to score | 6/1 @ Bet365 (14.3%) | ⭐⭐⭐ | Erling Haaland has scored in his last four Premier League matches, taking his total for the campaign to 26. 19-year-old Rayan has scored in all of his last three outings for Bournemouth. In total, the Brazilian has five goals in 13 appearances since making his debut at the end of January. |

How both teams go into Bournemouth vs Man City
Bournemouth are enjoying the longest unbeaten run in the Premier League this season and head into this clash full of confidence. The Cherries have gone 16 league matches without defeat and are beginning to turn draws into wins at the perfect time in the race for Europe.
Andoni Iraola’s side have won four of their last five matches, including a hard fought 1-0 success at Fulham thanks to Rayan’s winner. Bournemouth are still chasing a top five finish and have been excellent at the Vitality Stadium, losing just twice at home in the league all season.

Manchester City arrive on the south coast fresh from FA Cup success, with Antoine Semenyo’s winner against Chelsea securing another major honour for Pep Guardiola. The trophy marked Guardiola’s 20th at the club and further strengthened his remarkable record since arriving at the Etihad Stadium.
Attention now quickly turns back to the Premier League title race, though, with City still chasing Arsenal at the top of the table. Guardiola’s men are unbeaten in 10 matches across all competitions and have won nine of those games, while their away form has also been strong in recent months.
Bournemouth team news
Bournemouth will be without Ryan Christie after his red card against Fulham earned the midfielder a three match suspension, ruling him out for the rest of the season. Tyler Adams is in line to return to the starting XI, while Lewis Cook could also come back into contention after a thigh issue. Julio Soler remains sidelined through injury, and Alex Jimenez is unavailable after being suspended by the club pending an internal investigation.
Man City team news
Manchester City head to the Vitality Stadium with a fully fit squad after Rodri came through 65 minutes in the FA Cup final without issue. Omar Marmoush was withdrawn at half time against Chelsea for tactical reasons rather than injury, and Rayan Cherki is expected to return to the starting XI after impressing from the bench. Rodri should also reclaim his usual midfield role, while Nico Gonzalez could miss out again after being left out of the squad at Wembley.

Can Bournemouth Spoil City’s Title Charge? Final Thoughts
City are deserved favourites, but I’m not lumping on at odds-on away from home. Bournemouth have the firepower to make life awkward. As a result I’m backing some player propositions with the first being Cherki to assist at 2/1 with bet365. For those looking for something bigger, take the 6/1 for both Rayan and Erling Haaland to score.
