Manchester City v Everton predicted XIs: Confirmed team news and probable lineups
Five wins on the spin for Manchester City has seen them bear down on their title rivals Liverpool and Arsenal.
They are now level with the Gunners and just two points behind the Reds, with a game in hand on both.
Pep Guardiola’s side host Everton on Saturday, with the Toffees looking to push out of the relegation zone after slipping into the bottom three thanks to their ten-point deduction and Luton’s recent resurgence.
Can KDB and Foden help Man City return to the top of the table?
A win against Everton on Saturday will see Man City return to the top of the Premier League table, until 5pm at least.
We’re getting down to the business end of the season where Pep Guardiola’s men become near unstoppable and what will scare opposition sides more than ever is that for the first time since the opening week, City have Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden and Erling Haaland all fit and raring to go.
Phil Foden scored his second Premier League hat-trick against Brentford last time out to make it eight goal involvements in his last six Premier League appearances (4 goals, 4 assists), while Kevin De Bruyne provided one of the assists as he made 150 assists for Man City.
The Belgian has also come back in fine form and with 11 goal involvements in his last 11 Premier League appearances (4 goals, 7 assists), the combination of him and Foden behind the robotic Erling Haaland, means opposition defenders should be worried, very worried.
Standing in their way of top spot is Everton, who came from behind in stoppage time to earn a point against Spurs last time out, but are now without a win in six in the league. They also have a poor record against City, failing to win in any of their last 12 visits to the Etihad Stadium (D5 L7).
