Jurgen Klopp has a selection headache this weekend with Darwin Nunez a major doubts ahead of a trip to Manchester City

Jurgen Klopp had plenty of injury problems ahead of his sides trip to Manchester. Thiago (Groin), Stefan Bajcetic (Groin) and Joe Gomez (undisclosed injury) are all out of the huge clash with Manchester City while Klopp confirmed that Luis Diaz is back in training but won’t feature this weekend.
“It’s fantastic to have him back. He’s such an energiser, it’s a boost to have him around. He will not train today with us. This week was step one, to be back into team training”, Klopp replied when asked about Diaz’s status.
Naby Keita was also ruled out after picking up a muscular injury whilst on international duty with Guinea.
Klopp’s big issues come in attack, with both Darwin Nunez (knock) being rated at 50/50.
“Darwin Nunez couldn’t train for 2-3 days because of a cut on his foot but yesterday he was back in full training and he’s definitely back in contention,” the German manager told assembled press on Friday.
There is better news concerning Cody Gakpo though. Gakpo, a victim of the virus that ripped through the Netherlands squad during the international break, is back to full fitness and should be set to take to the pitch on Saturday.
