Atletico Madrid have completed the signing of Kieran Trippier from Tottenham Hotspur.
Trippier, who spent four seasons at Spurs, has signed a three-year contract at the Wanda Metropolitano after Atletico agreed a reported £20m fee for the defender.

- He eventually became first-choice after Walker left but struggled for consistency last season.
- Consequently, he has been linked with an exit, attracting surprise interest from Juve and Bayern.
- But Atletico look as if they have fought off competition to sign Trippier for a reported fee of £20m.
- He passed a medical earlier this week and has agreed terms on a three-year contract.

The 28-year-old struggled for Tottenham last season, making high-profile mistakes including a disastrous own goal against Chelsea.
That inconsistent form saw him lose his place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the Uefa Nations League finals in June, despite his heroics in the Three Lions’ run to the 2018 World Cup semi-finals.
But Trippier will now have the chance to impress Southgate from afar after sealing a move to Atletico.

The right-back will play Champions League football once again after losing in the final of the competition with Spurs last term.
Tottenham wished Trippier luck in a statement on their official website.
Atletico welcomed the defender with a statement of their own, which read: “We welcome Trippier to the Atleti Family and wish him the best of luck at his new home. Welcome, Kieran!”
