Euro 2024

Volksparkstadion, Hamburg will host five games at Euro 2024, including one of the quarter-finals and the Group D match between Poland and Netherlands. The ground is the home venue for 2. Bundesliga side, Hamburg.

Notable Events

Volksparkstadion, Hamburg has a rich history when it comes to hosting international football. The ground hosted three matches at the 1974 World Cup including the huge tie between the two pre-unified German nations.

One game of the 1988 European Championships was played at the ground, with Netherlands beating West Germany 2-1. Five matches of the 2006 World Cup took place in Hamburg, including Italy’s 3-0 quarter-final win over Ukraine.

The 2010 Europa League final, which saw Atletico Madrid beat Fulham, took place at the ground, whilst the likes Michael Jackson, Beyonce and Taylor Swift have all hosted concerts at the stadium.
