David Luiz has suggested Chelsea fans will only be patient for six months if Frank Lampard doesn’t deliver results at Stamford Bridge.
The Londoners have gained a reputation for switching managers regularly under the current regime.

Last season, Maurizio Sarri found his position under threat during a turbulent campaign that ended with a top-four finish and Europa League success.
The Italian eventually left the club to return to Italy with Juventus, resulting in Lampard’s appointment.
And Luiz, who could play an important role under Lampard, has warned his new manager that the Chelsea fans may lose patience in the second half of the season if results aren’t positive.
“I think everyone understands the moment and everyone understands to be patient but in the end, everyone wants to win,” Luiz said.

“They are going to be patient in the first six months and then in the last six months, they want us to win.
The Brazilian went on to suggest the pressure of playing for Chelsea is down to the club’s ambition to win trophies, of which Luiz has lifted six across two spells at Stamford Bridge.
He added: “If you don’t think like that [to win trophies] then you can’t play for Chelsea. The ambition has to be high. Of course, you have many, many fantastic clubs.
“They are working with the managers more than three or four years and they have amazing squads. Inside the pitch, it is up to us to have to show our jobs.”
Luiz also claimed Chelsea’s transfer ban shouldn’t prevent the team from achieving their goals.
“Even if you have a transfer ban I don’t know if the team needs more players or not,” he said. “I think we are just talking about the transfer ban, but last season not at one moment were we talking about different names.
“I think the squad is good enough, with the experienced players, the talented players, the young players and I think we just lost a big, big name, a legend of the club in Eden Hazard but we have many players who can do the job.”
