Burnley vs Arsenal predicted XIs: Confirmed team news and probable lineups
Arsenal head for Turf Moor feeling on top of the world following Sunday’s astonishing 6-0 demolition of West Ham, a result that should have every Burnley fan feeling uneasy.
The Clarets, desperately trying to escape from relegation danger, have won only one home match all season and will be wary of the Gunners delivering another goal salvo.
Arteta admits Arsenal are ‘building momentum’ in title race
Following a worrying wobble, Arsenal have brilliantly forced themselves back into the title race with four straight wins, including eye-catching 3-1 and 6-0 victories against Liverpool and West Ham, respectively.
The Gunners are now level on points with Manchester City and just two adrift of leaders Liverpool and, usually not one to give much away, even Mikel Arteta has admitted his side is ‘building momentum’ in the title race.
“Yes, obviously,” Arteta replied when asked if the recent victories over Liverpool and West Ham were ‘statement’ results.
The Spaniard continued: “We are maintaining and building some momentum now, and the performances have been really strong, as well as the results in recent weeks. We need to maintain that because the other teams are doing it as well, we are not the only ones, and we need to recognise that. Now, onto Burnley.”
