Brentford vs Man Utd predicted XIs: Confirmed team news and probable lineups

The wait for the Premier League is almost over and Brentford and Manchester United begin their run-ins with a clash at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday night.
Man Utd will be eyeing a bit of revenge this weekend after they were thrashed 4-0 at Brentford last season during the early days of Erik ten Hag’s tenure with the Red Devils.
Having won their following two meetings with the Bees at Old Trafford, Man Utd will be confident of picking up the three points needed to keep them in the race for a top-four finish this season.
As for Brentford, manager Thomas Frank has a battle on his hands to keep his side out of the relegation dogfight, as they sit five points above 18th-placed Nottingham Forest going into the weekend.
With plenty to play for for both these clubs, an interesting clash awaits under the lights at the Gtech Community Stadium this weekend.
Marcus Rashford to continue Brentford’s freefall
Brentford are a side in freefall at the moment and it looks set to be a nervous end to the season for Frank’s men. With one win in their last nine Premier League games, the Bees head into this match on the back of a 2-1 defeat at the hands of fellow strugglers Burnley.
Goals have not really been the issue, as Brentford have found the back of the net in 12 of their last 13 league games, but they have simply conceded too many at the back.
Man Utd should have enough quality to get at this Brentford defence and score the goals to win on the day.
Marcus Rashford is a particularly interesting option. The Englishman has found his form of late, with goals in each of Man Utd’s past three games across all competitions. Rashford has also scored two goals in four games against Brentford, including one at the Gtech Community Stadium.
However, given their scoring record, it would be little surprise to see the Bees get on the scoresheet at some stage on Saturday — especially with United having kept just two clean sheets in their last 11 league games.
However, United should have enough quality to get at this Brentford defence and score enough goals to win the day.
