Man City should go in for Joao Felix

Silva and Man City appear on course to wrapping up their second successive league title, sitting one point clear at the top of the table with two games remaining.

But that won’t stop Pep Guardiola and his squad wanting to improve their ranks for next season’s efforts, and Silva believes City should look to his former club Benfica.

He added: “It is very good the bet that Benfica has made on youngsters, from Ferro, Joao Felix, Florentino [Luis], to Jota, who has played less.

“I wish I could take the youngsters from Benfica to Manchester. They are all very good.”

Felix would be a welcome addition to the Premier League, with the 19-year-old already proving that he has the ability to rise to the very top of the game.

This season, Felix has made 40 appearances in all competitions for Benfica, scoring 18 goals and providing eight assists, and although he is contracted until 2023, it is rumoured that Viseu-born footballer may be hunted down by some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
