Erling Haaland is a doubt to face Liverpool as he manages the groin issue which kept him out of Norway’s fixtures during the international break.

There is plenty for Pep Guardiola to think about ahead of the visit of Liverpool this weekend, with a couple of key players’ status in doubt. Phil Foden definitely won’t feature, following surgery to remove his appendix whilst on England duty, leaving the likes of Jack Grealish, İlkay Gündoğan and Riyad Mahrez to battle for his place in the starting eleven.
There are also some doubts over Erling Haaland, with the Norwegian striker pulling out of his countries matches with Spain and Georgia over the weekend with a groin problem. Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Guardiola confirmed that Haaland would be subject to a fitness test at 4pm.
“Haaland is in recovery and we’ll see how he feels in the last training session,” the Spaniard told the media.
There aren’t any other injury worries for Guardiola to contend with though, and he’ll be keen to find another win to keep the pressure on Arsenal at the top of the table.
