Last week, Leyton Orient invited 63 other clubs to take part in a FIFA 20 tournament named Ultimate QuaranTeam.

But what is the Quaran-Team tournament? Who is in it? How will it be played? Read on and find out!

It is a 128-team tournament (it began with 64 sides but proved so popular they expanded) that will be played online via FIFA 20. The name itself is a portmanteau of “quarantine” and FIFA’s branded “Ultimate Team” mode, although the tournament won’t be using Ultimate Team.

Clubs have selected a single representative to play for them, whether they are a professional player or a fan. That representative (Andros Townsend nominated himself to represent Crystal Palace) will play as that club in a straight knockout tournament. Single-game eliminations all around.
