Premier League TOTW Gameweek 11: Man City and Chelsea dominate after important wins

The 2025-26 Premier League takes another break for international football. But it went out with a bang in Gameweek 11.

Manchester City capitalised on Arsenal dropping points against Sunderland with an important win over Liverpool. Chelsea also moved up to third with victory against basement-club Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United also played out a thrilling draw to keep them just outside the top four. Man City unsurprisingly dominate the Team of the Week for Gameweek 11, with four players. But Chelsea aren’t too far behind, boasting three.

GK: Emiliano Martinez (Aston Villa)

  • Squawka Score: 88%

There were six clean sheets across the Premier League this weekend. But only one goalkeeper saved a penalty. Emiliano Martinez kept Antoine Semenyo’s spot-kick out in Aston Villa’s win over Bournemouth. As a result, he also ranked top among goalkeepers for goals prevented at 0.96. The Argentine also made three saves including one from a shot inside the box.

Honourable mention: Bart Verbruggen (77%)

Bart Verbruggen prevented 0.72 goals in Brighton and Hove Albion’s goalless draw with Crystal Palace. He made two saves and caught two crosses.

RB: Matheus Nunes (Man City)

  • Squawka Score: 75%

Matheus Nunes had another good game at right-back for Man City, and not just because he recorded an intentional assist. Nunes made two interceptions retaining possession and six clearances, while also winning two of his aerial duels and winning possession four times in the defensive third. He was also part of a defence that faced just one shot on target.

Honourable mention: Malo Gusto (66%)

Malo Gusto scored his first ever senior goal in Chelsea’s win over Wolves. The Frenchman was a key attacking outlet, completing three take-ons and having three touches in the opposition box.

CB: Wesley Fofana (Chelsea)

  • Squawka Score: 74%

Wesley Fofana looked calm as part of a Chelsea defence that only faced 0.17 non-penalty Expected Goals against Wolves. The Frenchman made four clearances, one interception in his own box and won five aerial duels. He also boasted a retention rate of 92.71%, proving very reliable on the ball.

Honourable mention: Jaydee Canvot (69%)

Jaydee Canvot made his first Premier League start for Palace in the absence of Marc Guehi. And the Frenchman thrived. Canvot made an impressive eight clearances and won two tackles, while holding a retention rate of 91.3%.

CB: Ruben Dias (Man CIty)

  • Squawka Score: 72%

Ruben Dias more than played his part in Man City’s win over Liverpool, with his performance including a last-man tackle. The Portuguese centre-back won 100% of his contested duels and won possession three times in the defensive third, alongside four clearances. Dias also completed four passes into the final third and had a retention rate of 93.33%

Honourable mention: Nikola Milenkovic (68%)

Nikola Milenkovic made a whopping 11 clearances in Nottingham Forest’s win over Leeds United. He also won 100% of his ground duels.

LB: Patrick Dorgu (Man Utd)

  • Squawka Score: 72%

When Patrick Dorgu came off with 10 minutes to go against Man Utd, they were 1-0 up. And he had played a big part in their defence. Dorgu won and impressive four aerial duels and made four clearances, as well as winning possession twice in the defensive third. At the other end of the pitch, Dorgu had two touches in the opposition box and created one big chance.

Lucas Digne was involved in one of Villa’s four goals against Bournemouth, and completed four passes into the final third. He also won possession twice in the defensive third.

DM: Nico Gonzalez (Man City)

Nico Gonzalez did score for Man City against Liverpool, but that isn’t the reason his Score is so high. The Spanish midfielder was a rock at the base of Man City’s midfield, with three tackles won and two interceptions retaining possession. He also won 83.33% of his ground duels and completed 100% of his passes into the final third.

Honourable mention: Martin Zubimendi (73%)

Martin Zubimendi won an impressive six aerial duels in a heated midfield battle against Sunderland, sitting just in front of the Arsenal defence. He also completed nine passes into the final third.

DM: Moises Caicedo (Chelsea)

  • Squawka Score: 77%

Moises Caicedo chipped in with another three tackles in Chelsea’s win over Wolves as well as winning possession four times in the middle third. But the Ecuadorean was also able to get involved further up the pitch. Caicedo completed three passes into the penalty area and eight passes into the final third.

Honourable mention: Enzo Fernandez (73%)

Caicedo’s midfield partner Enzo Fernandez won possession three times in the defensive third and four times in the middle third.

RW: Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)

  • Squawka Score: 83%

Bukayo Saka got back among the goals in Arsenal’s draw with Sunderland, netting with one of his two shots on target. The Englishman was a big threat to the Sunderland defence. He created two big chances and had seven touches in the opposition box, as well as being fouled twice in the final third. Saka also made eight ball recoveries and completed 19 final third passes proving he was nearing his best again.

Honourable mention: Pedro Neto (78%)

Pedro Neto scored in Chelsea’s win over his former club, and was a constant menace. He completed three take-ons during his time on the pitch and created two chances.

No.10: Joao Pedro (Chelsea)

  • Squawka Score: 77%

Joao Pedro started in the No.10 role against Wolves, with Liam Delap leading the line. His goal came seconds after he was pushed to striker, but the Brazilian had an all-round strong display. Pedro had seven touches in the opposition box and completed 15 passes in the final third. He also created two chances, completed two high turnover and had two shots on target.

Honourable mention: Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (73%)

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall provided an assist in Everton’s win over Fulham, creating two chances in total. He also completed 17 passes in the final third.

LW: Jeremy Doku (Man City)

  • Squawka Score: 83%

Jeremy Doku got himself on the scoresheet in Man City’s win over Liverpool, wrapping up the 3-0 victory midway through to the second half. The Belgian was on top form against Liverpool, with three shots on target, and 0.45 non-penalty post-shot xG. He had 11 touches in the opposition box, completed an incredible seven take-ons and also won the first-half penalty that was missed. Doku couldn’t be stopped.

Wilson also had five touches in the opposition box, completing two high turnovers and won two aerial duels.

Honourable mention: Zian Flemming (72%)

Zian Flemming opened the scoring for Burnley against West Ham, from 0.22 xG. It was his only shot on target from two efforts total, but Flemming also upped his chances of scoring with 0.87 non-penalty post-shot xG.
