Wolves were reportedly interested in picking up Che Adams after his contract at Southampton has expired, but the Scotland international will now try out a new environment with Serie A side Torino winning the race for his signature. Adams arrives in Italy fresh from a 2023/24 campaign in which registered 17 goals and six assists in 46 appearances across all competitions, helping Saints return to the Premier League via the Championship playoffs.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg made 39 appearances for Tottenham last season but only 10 of them came from the start. The Denmark international is far too good to be warming the bench and he’ll hope to quickly work his way in at Marseille, joining the French club on loan with an obligation to buy, believed to be valued around £17m.

The Pozzo family pipeline strikes again as Watford complete the loan signing of Croatia U21 international centre-back Antonio Tivkovic from Udinese. The 20-year-old joined Udinese from Bayern Munich last summer but made just two senior appearances for the Italian side during the 2023/24 campaign.

The 19-year-old, who can play as a left-back or a winger, arrives at Stamford Bridge having made 85 appearances for Atlanta United over the past two years, scoring six goals and registering seven assists. Wiley already has two senior caps to his name for the United States and is currently with his nation’s Olympics squad in France.
The teenager is expected to continue his development on loan at French side Strasbourg, who are also co-owned by Todd Boehly.

Jayden Bogle has crossed one of the more controversial Yorkshire lines by swapping Sheffield United for Leeds United, with the Blades receiving what they’ve described as a ‘signiifcant, undisclosed fee’. The 23-year-old right-back played 34 times in the Premier League last season, scoring three goals.

19-year-old Miodrag Pivas has completed a move to Newcastle United after helping Jedinstvo earn promotion to the Serbian top-flight last season. A centre-back by trade, Pivas can also play as a defensive midfielder and is a regular for Serbia at youth level.
“It’s absolutely unbelievable to join such a big club,” Pivas told Newcastle’s official website. “I see the young players have developed very well here and I would like to do the same – to develop and get into Newcastle’s first team. I’m very excited and I can’t wait to begin.”

Fresh from captaining Spain to Euro 2024 glory, Alvaro Morata has sought out new surroundings, leaving Atletico Madrid to join Italian giants AC Milan. Morata has often been overlooked in the past but leaves Madrid having notched 21 goals across all competitions last season, while his physicality should help Milan replace French veteran Olivier Giroud, who has joined MLS side LAFC.

Just a year after leaving for Hull, Jaden Philogene has completed a move back to Aston Villa. It’s easy to see why he’d be welcomed back after registering 12 goals and six assists in 32 Championship appearances last season. However, there are rumours that he could be loaned out for 2024/25.

Celtic were looking for experience and leadership to replace the retiring Joe Hart between the sticks and they’ve got just that in Kasper Schmeichel, who arrives on a free transfer from Belgian giants Anderlecht. Now 37, Schmeichel proved he’s still sharp as he captained Denmark to the Euro 2024 last 16 this summer, while his familiarity with Brendan Rodgers should be a huge boost to the Hoops.

Mamadou Fall spent the last two years on loan in Spain from LAFC, first with Villarreal in 2022/23, then with Barcelona last season. However, on both occasions, the centre-back played most of his football at B team level. The Senegalese defender was once seen as a huge talent in MLS but is now officially a Barcelona player. It’ll be interesting to see what their plan is for him.

Savinho played a key role in Girona qualifying for the Champions League last season, posting nine goals and 10 assists in 37 La Liga appearances, as well as a further two goals in the Copa del Rey, while on loan from Troyes. In case you hadn’t noticed, both those clubs are part of the City Football Group and now, the 20-year-old forward — already capped seven times for Brazil — has completed a move to the top of the tree with Man City.
“He can play on both sides, left-winger, right-winger, can even play in the middle. But we need [him] more especially on the wings. His one-against-one is devastating,” said Pep Guardiola.

However, Lamela lost his place in the Spanish side’s starting XI last season and has now shipped himself off to 13-time Greek champions AEK Athens.

However, he has become the latest star to trade Europe for Saudi Arabia, joining Al-Qadsiah. That said, at 35 years old, we can forgive Aubameyang much more for this decision than some of his younger counterparts.
