Can Greenwood get the better of Luiz? Man Utd vs Arsenal – Premier League preview

September may be ending, but the Premier League is only getting started as another week of action rolls in.

Gameweek seven features some potentially interesting matches with Liverpool looking to extend their lead at the top of the table against Sheffield United.

The Reds remain one of just two teams in Europe’s top five leagues with a perfect record, alongside Inter Milan, and sit five points clear of Manchester City – who face Everton.

City will be buoyed by their recent run, scoring 14 unanswered goals in their past three games, including last weekend’s 8-0 win over Watford. But, despite their standings in the table, this weekend’s showcase is undoubtably Arsenal’s trip to Manchester United.

In the past, this would have been a match between two title contenders, with Man Utd and Arsenal sharing 11 Premier League titles in the first 12 seasons of the competition.

Both sides are now going through transition periods of sorts, still looking to find their identities following the departures of long-term managers, but that does not take away from the magnitude of the match.

Arsenal hold the slight upper-hand of the two sides so far this season, sitting fourth in the Premier League – four places above Man Utd. But they do still have weaknesses at the back, with David Luiz coming in for criticism.

Manchester United will be hoping to exploit these problems, with 17-year-old Mason Greenwood tipped to play some role on Monday after scoring in each of his two starts across all competitions this season.

But could he be the difference at Old Trafford? He’s certainly got the skill set to hurt David Luiz but it all depends on whether Ole Gunnar Solskjaer puts his trust in the youngster.
