Premier League Predictions Gameweek 8: Gunners to maintain their position at top of the table

Liverpool against Man Utd takes centre stage on Sunday, with Tottenham also hosting Aston Villa. On Saturday, the Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea game kicks off proceedings at 12:30pm, while Arsenal travel to Fulham in the 5:30pm kick off.

Here are the fixtures for Gameweek 8 (October 18-20, 2025), along with our predictions for each game.

Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea – Saturday 18 October, 12:30pm

Nottingham Forest come into this match still searching for their first win under Ange Postecoglu, whilst Chelsea were able to end their run of two defeats with a victory against Liverpool last time out. Forest have four of their last five, including their last two at home and we can see this encounter following a similar task with Enzo Maresca’s side putting them to the sword.

Prediction: Nottingham Forest 0-3 Chelsea (16/1 with Sky Bet)

Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth – Saturday 18 October 3:00pm

These two have been the overachievers of the Premier League season, so far, with Crystal Palace sitting in sixth position and Bournemouth occupying fourth. This leads to an interesting match up between two sides that have lost just once each this term. We think things might be too close to call and they could end up cancelling each other out, leading to a stalemate.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 Bournemouth (11/2 with Sky Bet)

Burnley vs Leeds – Saturday 18 October, 3:00pm

Two promoted clubs meet at Turf Moor this weekend and both will be keen to pick up a win after some indifferent form. Burnley enter with just one win this season and just one point from their last five games, whilst Leeds have five points in the same period and sit four points better off than their opponents this weekend. This could be a really tight game between two sides predicted to struggle this season and we’re anticipating a low-scoring draw.

Prediction: Burnley 1-1 Leeds (5/1 with Sky Bet)

Man City vs Everton – Saturday 18 October, 3:00pm

Man City look rejuvenated, winning three of their last four games and scoring 10 times along the way. They are just three points behind leaders, Arsenal and come into this game with Erling Haaland in fine goalscoring form, with nine goals in seven games. Everton haven’t performed badly this season by any means, currently sitting in eighth position and picking up 11 points from a possible 21. We can only see this game going one way though, with Man City coming out convincing winners, especially with Everton missing their talisman, Jack Grealish.

Prediction: Man City 4-1 Everton (18/1 with Sky Bet)

Sunderland vs Wolves – Saturday 18 October, 3:00pm

Sunderland have outperformed expectations this season, sitting in ninth position after seven games and winning 11 points, so far. This is in stark contrast to Wolves, who are bottom of the Premier League and have won only two points, so far. This doesn’t look as though it’s going to be a high-scoring game at the Stadium of Light, with Sunderland keeping three clean sheets already this season and Wolves finding the net just five times. We’re anticipating another low-scoring affair but one that Sunderland come out on top of.

Prediction: Sunderland 1-0 Wolves (11/2 with Sky Bet)

Brighton vs Newcastle – Saturday 18 October, 3:00pm

Brighton have struggled a little this season, occupying 12th place and struggling for consistency. They’ve won two and lost two, drawing their other three games and have both scored and conceded 10 times. Newcastle sit one place above their opponents this weekend, just winning out on goal difference despite scoring four goals less than Brighton. With both sides being similarly matched, we can see this match ending in a draw, albeit a high-scoring one.

Prediction: Brighton 2-2 Newcastle (11/1 with Sky Bet)

Fulham vs Arsenal – Saturday 18 October, 5:30pm

Fulham come into this game off the back of two losses, which has left them in 14th position with a goal difference of -3. This is in contrast to Arsenal, who top the league and have won 16 points from a possible 21 this season. The Gunners look in incredible form at the moment, conceding just three goals in seven games and scoring 14 times, an average of two goals a game. We’re backing them to come out on top of this encounter, leaving Fulham with three losses in a row.

Prediction: Fulham 1-3 Arsenal (12/1 with Sky Bet)

#AD 18+ New customers only. £10 minimum deposit. First single, e/w or multiples bet only. Tottenham vs Aston Villa – Sunday 19 October, 2:00pm

Tottenham are riding high coming into this clash, losing just one of their opening seven games and sitting in third place in the Premier League. Aston Villa found life difficult to start their season but seem to have found their feet over the past few weeks, going four games unbeaten and winning their last two outings. Home advantage could be key in this one though, and we’re predicting Tottenham will run out slender winners in a closely fought match.

Prediction: Tottenham 2-1 Aston Villa (15/2 with Sky Bet)

Liverpool vs Man Utd – Sunday 19 October, 4:30pm

Liverpool saw their season falter before the international break, losing two games in a row and losing their position as league leaders. Man Utd have been the picture of inconsistency, winning three of their games but losing three to leave themselves in 10th position. The Reds will be keen to turn things around and we think they are on course to do just that and pick up a handsome win over one of their most bitter rivals.

Prediction Liverpool 3-0 Man Utd (12/1 with Sky Bet)

West Ham vs Brentford – Monday 20 October, 8:00pm

West Ham have struggled this season and this has led to an early managerial change. Five losses from seven games, and just six goals scored, have left the Hammers in 19th position and fighting to move themselves away from the relegation zone. Brentford are three points better off but have had their own struggles, with disappointing losses against Fulham and Sunderland leaving them with seven points from seven games. We can see this one being a bit of a drab affair between two sides still finding their feet in the season, with a 0-0 draw on the cards

Prediction: West Ham 0-0 Brentford (11/1 with Sky Bet)
