No team has pushed Manchester City more in recent years than Liverpool, who have rekindled their former magic under Jurgen Klopp this season.

A disappointing 2022/23 campaign saw the Reds end up as the Premier League’s fifth-best team which proved to be their worst finish under Klopp following a full season.

There are no surprises regarding who is spearheading Liverpool’s attack this season. Mohamed Salah is back to his very best and there’s a growing chasm between him, Diogo Jota and Darwin Núñez in the Premier League at least. Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch, both summer recruits, have chipped in with Cody Gakpo now settled after joining earlier this year.

Szoboszlai is expected to shoot up the standings with the Hungarian midfielder proving to be a chance-creator machine.
