FPL wildcard tips: Our complete fantasy football squad for gameweek 36

We have another exciting week of Premier League action to look forward to as the final straight draws ever closer. Here, we’ve put together a full squad that you should consider with the next seven days in mind.

Every team is in action while Newcastle United and Brighton and Hove Albion play twice, so that is worth bearing in mind when making your selections.

Manchester City and Liverpool are on the road and looking to continue their fine form, while Arsenal are at home as they look to keep their title hopes alive.

With that in mind, we’ve assembled a 15-man squad (within a budget of £100 million) you should be considering, taking into account value, points, performances and fixtures when using your wildcard ahead of another huge week of Premier League action.

Gameweek 36 Wildcard picks

Alisson (£5.4m)

FPL points so far: 151
Fixtures: Leicester City (A)

Alisson is the best-performing goalkeeper in Fantasy Premier League this season, having collected 151 points thus far.

Fresh from recording back-to-back clean sheets and facing relegation-threatened Leicester, the Liverpool goalkeeper should get you some points on the board.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.6m)

FPL points so far: 138
Fixtures: Leicester City (A)

Kieran Trippier (178) and Ben White (147) are the only defenders to better Alexander-Arnold’s tally of 138 points in this season’s FPL.

After six assists and five appearances, the England international registered successive clean sheets so whether it is via his attacking or defensive exploits, he is likely to score points.

Diego Dalot (£4.8m)

FPL points so far: 100
Fixtures: Wolves (H)

Though he only appeared as a late substitute against West Ham, Dalot has been a regular feature for United in recent weeks.

The Portugal international is worth including given Erik ten Hag’s side have recorded clean sheets in each of their last five home Premier League matches.

Sven Botman (£4.5m)

FPL points so far: 115
Fixtures: Leeds United (A), Brighton and Hove Albion (H)

With it being a double gameweek for Newcastle, Botman is definitely worth consideration in defence.

A constant in the Magpies’ back four this season, the Swede has registered five shots in his last four appearances – more than any of his defensive colleagues during that span.

Mohamed Salah (£13.1m)

FPL points so far: 217
Fixture: Leicester City (A)

The best-performing midfielder in FPL this season, Salah is in brilliant form at an ideal time in the campaign for Liverpool.

And the Egypt international will be confident of getting on the scoresheet against struggling opponents.

Riyad Mahrez (£7.3m)

FPL points so far: 113
Fixtures: Everton (A)

Though he did not feature against Real Madrid in midweek, Mahrez is likely to feature with Pep Guardiola almost certain to rotate.

The Algeria international has provided nine assists this season – including four in his last three appearances.

Martin Odegaard (£6.7m)

FPL points so far: 205
Fixtures: Brighton and Hove Albion (H)

With three goals in his last two appearances, Odegaard prepares to face Brighton having recorded back-to-back double-figure hauls.

The Arsenal skipper has also been directly involved in four goals in as many Premier League appearances against the Seagulls.

Joelinton (£6m)

FPL points so far: 111
Fixtures: Leeds United (A), Brighton and Hove Albion (H)

Joelinton has been in brilliant form in recent weeks, scoring four goals and providing two assists in his last seven appearances.

Newcastle have scored the most goals in the last four matchdays (13), so the Brazilian will be confident of further contributing to the Magpies’ cause.

Ivan Toney (£7.3m)

FPL points so far: 182
Fixture: West Ham United (H)

Toney is aiming to score in a fourth successive home Premier League game when Brentford welcome West Ham on Sunday.

The England international has also been directly involved in each of the Bees’ last four goals against the Hammers.

Callum Wilson (£7.1m)

FPL points so far: 130
Fixtures: Leeds United (A), Brighton and Hove Albion (H)

After scoring five goals, Wilson has collected 32 points across the last four matchdays – the most by any Newcastle player in that time.

He will be confident of continuing in that vein against Leeds, who have conceded 12 goals in three home games, and a Brighton side with just two away clean sheets this season.

Erling Haaland (£12.3m)

FPL points so far: 259
Fixtures: Everton (A)

The best-performing player in FPL this season, Haaland is enduring something of a mini drought having failed to find the net in two appearances.

But with that mouth-watering Champions League semi-final second leg against Real Madrid coming up at the Etihad in midweek, getting back on the scoresheet here would be the perfect way for him to warm up.

Fraser Forster (£3.9m)

FPL points so far: 36
Fixtures: Aston Villa (A)

Tyrone Mings (£4.8m)

FPL points so far: 126
Fixtures: Tottenham Hotspur (H)

Victor Lindelof (£4.1m)

FPL points so far: 40
Fixtures: Wolves (H)

Pascal Groß (£5.4m)

FPL points so far: 137
Fixtures: Arsenal (A), Newcastle United (A)
