Stuttgart have seen themselves move out of the bottom three following a decent run of form in recent weeks, They are unbeaten in four games and giving themselves a one point lead over the teams in the relegation zone.
Dortmund saw their run of six Bundesliga games without a loss end last week with RB Leipzig beating them 4-1 in a surprising result. They are second in the league but nine points behind Bayern Munich, with their title challenge all but over.
At home, Stuttgart have lost six of their 14 matches, although they have won their last two at Mercedes-Benz Arena. The side have scored in each of their last eight games but conceded 16 times in the same period, being unable to keep a clean sheet.
Dortmund have great form on the road, going six games unbeaten away from home and losing just four in 14 all season. Dortmund average just under two goals a game as the away side, something the translate to their recent form where they have scored 11 in their last six.
Erling Haaland has been in good goalscoring form as usual this season, netting 16 times so far this season but has gone eight league games without a goal.
