Tottenham 2022/23 odds: Top four finish, outright odds, top scorer and more

Tottenham Hotspur are embarking on their first full season under the management of Antonio Conte, but things are getting a little ‘Spursy’. Get the latest Tottenham betting odds here.

Tottenham Top Four Finish odds

When Conte took over as Tottenham manager in November 2021, the north London side were ninth in the Premier League, five points behind fourth-placed West Ham and in danger of falling down the table. Tottenham went unbeaten in Conte’s nine Premier League matches which included a 2-2 draw against Liverpool and six wins, until a defeat to Chelsea started a rough patch.

Four defeats in five Premier League matches gave Conte his first rocky period at Tottenham, combined with exits in the EFL Cup and FA Cup, but the Italian did still manage to beat Man City 3-2 at the Etihad Stadium to complete the league double started by Santo. Tottenham would eventually overcome the wobble to win 10 of their final 14 Premier League matches, securing fourth-placed ahead of rivals Arsenal.

This season Tottenham were a lot more assured in their start to the campaign, winning five of their opening seven games to sit comfortable in the top four. That unbeaten run came to an end at the start of October, beaten 3-1 by Arsenal, which put Tottenham on a minor slippery slope.

Tottenham lost three of their last five games before the World Cup break, beaten by Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle – and their form post-World Cup has been much of the same.

Conte’s side returned from the World Cup with a 2-2 draw against Brentford and then a defeat to Aston Villa. Tottenham did bounce back to beat Crystal Palace 4-0 but then lost the North London Derby to Arsenal, beaten 2-0, before giving up a 2-0 lead against Man City to lose 4-2.

They remain fifth, five points behind fourth-placed Newcastle, but have played a game more than the Magpies and more importantly are out of form. So it’s no surprise to see that Paddy Power are now offering odds of 5/11 for them to finish in the top four in the 2022/23 Premier League season.

Tottenham Top Six Finish Odds

At the start of the season, Tottenham’s title odds will have been considered by they are now 14 points behind leaders Arsenal who have TWO games in hand. Now, they have to focus on ensuring they secure European football for next season.

There is still along way to go in the second, and Tottenham are certainly not guaranteed even a top six finish, with things so tight in that part of the table. Just five points separate fifth-placed Tottenham and Chelsea in 10th, with the North London side playing more game than all but one of the teams in that group.

Two points behind Tottenham are Fulham, with Brighton a further point back with two games in hand. Brentford trail Tottenham by four points with a game in hand and Liverpool could overtake Conte’s side if they were to win both of their games in hand.

Nevertheless, Tottenham are still 4/6 to finish in the 2022/23 Premier League top six with Paddy Power.

Tottenham odds to win the Champions League

Elsewhere, Tottenham remain in the Champions League and will still be dreaming of becoming just the second team from London to win the competition. It’s now three years since Tottenham reached their one and only Champions League final, losing 2-0 to Liverpool in 2019, and they spent the past two seasons out of the tournament.

In 2022/23, Tottenham didn’t have the best of times in the group stage, but their three wins and two draws (on top of a defeat to Sporting CP) was enough to seal top stop. Their reward was a last 16 tie against AC Milan, who didn’t look too good in their games against Chelsea in the group stage this season. History doesn’t really shine on Tottenham, nor does Conte’s record in Europe, but this could be the squad that finally makes it happen.

You can get odds of 18/1 for Tottenham to win the 2022/23 Champions League with William Hill.

Other Tottenham Premier League odds

Erling Haaland is running away with the Golden Boot, but Harry Kane is still giving him a battle. The Tottenham striker is one of five players to hit double figures for goals in the Premier League this season, with 15 so far, only seven behind Haaland.

The Englishman currently has three Golden Boot trophies in his cabinet having scooped the awards in 2015/16, 2016/17 and 2020/21, the same amount as Salah who joined him last season. But the pair will now be looking to move level with Thierry Henry, the man with the most Premier League Golden Boots in history (four).
