Denmark odds: To win 2022 World Cup, how far will they go, top scorer and more

Can a resurgent Denmark team make their mark on the international stage at the Qatar 2022 World Cup? Get our Denmark betting preview here.

Denmark will be competing in their sixth World Cup, having made it to the quarter-final stage just once in their history in 1998. They finished as Group C runner-ups to eventual winners France four years ago in Russia, before being knocked out on penalties to Croatia in the last 16.

The Danes impressed after a tough start at their last major tournament, making it to the semi-finals of Euro 2020 where they were knocked out by England. A tournament that will be remembered for the heroic actions of Denmark’s players and medical staff after Christian Eriksen’s cardiac arrest.

Just two years on, and Eriksen is back playing and scoring for Brentford and the national side and will be hoping to make it a tournament to remember for much happier reasons.

Denmark to win 2022 World Cup odds

Denmark are currently 33/1 to win the 2022 World Cup.

The Danes finished top of their qualifying group, winning nine of their 10 games and keeping a clean sheet in each of their first eight matches. No European side picked up more points than Kasper Hjulmand’s side (27), while they were the second side to qualify for the tournament (not including the hosts) after Germany.

Denmark’s potential path to 2022 World Cup final

Denmark have been drawn In Group D alongside France, Tunisia and either U.A.E/Australia or Peru.

They begin their campaign against Tunisia, followed by their toughest test in current champions France and then finishing with the winners of U.A.E/Australia or Peru.

26 November: France (4pm UK time)

If Denmark win Group D

If Denmark were to win Group D, then this would be their route through to the final.

  • Last 16: The runners-up of Group C, which consists of Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland in Doha on the 4th December.
  • Quarter-finals: The winner of match 52, played between Group B winners and Group A runners-up.
  • Semi-finals: The winner of match 59, which will include one of the winners from Group F or H or the runners-up from Group E or G.

If Denmark finish second in Group D:

  • Last 16: The winners of Group C in Al Rayyan on the 3rd December.
  • Quarter-finals:The winner of match 49, played between the winner of Group A and runner-up of Group B.
  • Semi-finals: The winner of match 57, which could include the winners of Group E or G or the runners up from Group F or Group H.

As mentioned, Denmark have never made it past the quarter-finals of the World Cup and face a tough task to win Group D having been drawn alongside current champions France.

The Danes are 4/9 to make it out of the group stages and are best price 2/1 to equal their best finish and make it to the quarter-finals. If you fancy them to go one better, then you can get them at 5/1 for the semi-finals.
